Make Ahead Bacon In The Oven

Thick-cut bacon works well in the oven. This bacon is cut about 1/8″ thick, so it will take a little longer. If you check it at 20 minutes and it needs more time, turn it over and put it back in the oven for a few more minutes.

Turkey Bacon – Turkey bacon that is a little thinner will work. It takes a little time to cook it in the oven at the same temperature so that it is not dry.

You don’t need a wire or a refrigerator to cook bacon. I really like to cook bacon strips in a baking pan. It becomes crispy when deep fried in ghee.

This is the easiest, fastest and cleanest way to cook bacon. Cooking bacon in the oven is very messy. Oil gets everywhere – on the counter, the floor and you! Cook the bacon in the oven and leave everything together.

Cooking bacon in the oven frees up space on the stove. This is when you make a big breakfast and have pancakes, eggs, sausage, etc. It is perfect when you need a technical space. Just put it in the oven, set the timer, and forget about it until it’s done.

Cooking. Place the bacon on a rimmed baking sheet – it is important to have the sides so that the fat does not lose – and turn on the oven. Lined with baking paper and foil makes cleanup easier, but it’s up to you! Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes or until done to your liking. No need to turn it! It cooks perfectly on both sides.

You don’t need to cover the bacon during cooking, but if you see your bacon is still dripping, you can put a sheet of tin on it, but remove it for the last 5 minutes so that the bacon will cool completely.
