Thanks for the great software, but I’m having trouble splitting the images. My goal is to capture individual cell-boundary boxes in the image and then use that information as a mask to block the signal outside the cells in separate fluorescent time-lapses. We only use one molecule. Using the mask, I can get the population mean for proliferation or individual cell proliferation and compare the two. Currently I can’t even split my images. It’s worth noting that I take the Z stacks in BF and convert them to a phase image and then analyze that image. So this step may cause problems with how the image looks in your software. Here’s a sample image I’m trying to parse and the error message:

I tried what you mentioned but still got the same error. The error score appears in the neuralnet function. I have included the x variable used in this function.

By using superSeggerOpti do you mean using the function, changing BatchSupperSeggerOpti to SuperSeggerOpti in my version of processExp, or using settings in a CONST structure? I suspect part of the problem is that I’m just splitting a single image instead of the time lapse of the BF.

I updated to Matlab R2018b a few months ago and forgot I couldn’t find the neural network toolbox. However, after that reminder today, I googled it and found that they replaced the Neural Networking Toolbox with the Deep Learning Toolbox. Once I installed it it worked.

We check toolboxes and give some sort of error in checkToolboxes.m… Failed? Or maybe you didn’t see the little error warning? It should say “Install the neural network toolbox” or something. – PAW

There has never been a warning. I have a different version of matlab on my computer, maybe that’s why? But once I installed Deep Learning Toolbox, I got a warning that I don’t have a Neural Network Toolbox, but the program still works.
